Construction Details

Ventilated cage upper: The black synthetic outer shell has large triangular cutouts along the midfoot. This allows air to circulate directly over the foot, preventing sweat buildup during long hikes in 80-degree weather.
Bungee speed-lacing: Instead of traditional laces that can snag on brush or come untied, this sandal uses an elastic bungee cord routed through fabric webbing. Pull the plastic toggle to tighten the whole shoe at once, then tuck the excess cord under the laces.
Rubber toe bumper: The beige outsole rubber extends up and over the front of the toes. Unlike open sandals, this closed-toe design protects you from stubbing your toes on roots or loose rocks on the trail.
Molded EVA footbed: The interior footbed isn't flat. It’s contoured with a built-in arch support and a slight heel cup to keep your foot from sliding sideways when walking on uneven sloped ground.
Deep-lug outsole: The bottom tread features 5 mm deep rubber lugs spaced widely apart. The wide spacing ensures that mud and small pebbles shed out of the tread naturally as you walk, rather than caking up the sole.
Neoprene heel strap: The back of the ankle is secured by a fixed, structured strap lined with soft neoprene. The neoprene prevents friction blisters when the shoe gets wet from a river crossing.

Hiking sandals run true to size. If you plan to wear them barefoot, your standard size is perfect. If you prefer to wear them with thick hiking socks, consider going up half a size.

Care Instructions

These sandals are designed to get wet. Rinse them off with a garden hose or in a sink after a muddy hike.
For stubborn dirt, scrub the synthetic upper and rubber sole with an old toothbrush and mild dish soap.
Do not machine wash or put them in the dryer. The heat can deform the EVA footbed and weaken the adhesives.
To prevent odors from sweat and river water, let the sandals air dry completely in a well-ventilated area before storing them. Do not leave them baking in direct, intense sunlight for days, as the black synthetic material can warp.
