Construction Details

• Color-blocked panels: The upper is cut from three separate pieces of dyed canvas — mustard yellow for the heel quarter, teal for the vamp and midfoot, and a narrow strip of burnt orange canvas used as piping along every panel edge. Each panel is overlocked before stitching to prevent fraying at the interior seams.
• 8 oz lightweight canvas: Thinner than the standard 10–12 oz canvas used on other Laimminis low-tops. The lighter weight makes this pair noticeably more flexible and easier to fold into a travel bag. The trade-off is less structure — the shoe will crease and mold to your foot shape faster.
• Translucent yellow gum outsole: The outsole is a semi-transparent yellow rubber with a slightly sticky surface feel. The textured grip pattern alternates between raised dots and shallow channels — different from the diamond grid on the rest of the canvas line. The translucency means you can see air bubbles and slight color variations in the rubber, which is intentional and varies shoe to shoe.
• Off-white vulcanized midsole: A thin band of off-white rubber sits between the upper and the yellow outsole, creating a visible three-layer sandwich: canvas → white rubber → yellow rubber. The midsole has a smooth, unprinted finish — no text or logos.
• Padded collar: This model includes 6 mm of closed-cell foam padding inside the ankle collar and a lightly cushioned tongue. The padding is covered in cotton canvas rather than synthetic fabric, so it breathes in warm weather and doesn't feel plasticky against bare ankles.
• Brushed brass eyelets: Five pairs of eyelets in a warm brass tone that complements the mustard and orange panels. The brass is brushed (not polished) to reduce glare and give a matte, vintage look.

Size Guide

The Urbas runs about half a size large, consistent with other Laimminis canvas low-tops. If you wear a 10 in Nike or Adidas, a 9.5 here will likely fit better. For sockless wear in summer, true to size is fine.

Care Instructions

• Multi-color canvas can bleed if soaked in hot water. Always use cold water for cleaning. Test any cleaning solution on the inside of the tongue first to check for color transfer.
• Spot clean individual panels with a damp cloth and a small amount of clear dish soap. Work on one color at a time and rinse the cloth between panels to avoid cross-staining teal dye onto the yellow sections.
• Machine wash on cold, gentle cycle in a mesh bag. Wash alone or with similar colors — the orange and teal dyes can transfer onto white laundry. Air dry in shade; direct sunlight fades the mustard yellow fastest.
• The translucent yellow outsole will pick up dark floor marks over time. Wipe with a damp cloth. Some discoloration is normal and gives the sole a lived-in look.
