The first thing you notice is the measuring-tape graphic printed along the foxing strip — red tick marks on a cream base, running from heel to toe. Construction Details

• 9 oz periwinkle canvas: A lighter-weight cotton canvas in a muted blue-violet shade. The color sits between lavender and slate blue depending on the light. The 9 oz weight makes the shoe noticeably softer and more pliable out of the box than heavier canvas styles — minimal break-in needed.
• Ruler foxing strip: The signature detail. A printed measuring-tape graphic wraps the perimeter of the shoe where the upper meets the sole. The markings are in red and black ink on the cream rubber base, with centimeter tick marks and numbers visible on the lateral side. The print is heat-transferred onto the rubber during vulcanization, so it won't peel or flake off with normal wear.
• Padded collar and heel counter: Unlike the unlined canvas on some of the other Laimminis low-tops, this model has a thin cotton twill lining inside and about 5 mm of foam padding around the ankle opening. A stiffened heel counter behind the lining keeps the back of the shoe from collapsing when you walk.
• "Vulcanized Culture" outsole: The bottom tread uses the same diamond grid pattern as the rest of the canvas range, but this model adds a debossed "Vulcanized Culture" text stamp in the center of the heel area. The cream rubber compound is slightly firmer than gum rubber — it holds up better on rough pavement but has less flex.
• White-painted eyelets: Five pairs of stamped steel eyelets coated in white paint to match the sole. The paint is baked on, so it doesn't chip easily, but heavy lace friction over months may expose the steel underneath — which adds a worn-in character.

Size Guide

The periwinkle canvas low-top runs about half a size large. If you normally wear a 9.5, try a 9 for a snug fit. For a relaxed, sockless-summer fit, go true to size.

Care Instructions

• Light-colored canvas picks up stains fast. Treat the upper with a fabric protector spray (like Scotchgard) before the first wear — it won't change the color but will make spills bead up instead of soaking in.
• Spot clean with a paste of baking soda and a few drops of water. Apply with a soft toothbrush, let sit for 10 minutes, then wipe off with a damp cloth. This works especially well on the periwinkle dye without fading.
• Machine washable — cold water, gentle cycle, inside a mesh bag. Do not use bleach or OxiClean; both will strip the lavender color. Air dry in shade only; direct sunlight yellows the cream sole.
• To maintain the ruler print on the foxing strip, avoid scrubbing that area with abrasive sponges. A damp cloth wipe is enough. The print is durable but not indestructible.
