Construction Details

Multi-material upper: Built with three distinct layers. A breathable off-white mesh sits at the base to let heat out. Cream-colored suede panels wrap the toe and heel for abrasion resistance, while synthetic leather strips frame the midfoot to hold the laces securely.
Heel embroidery: The back of the shoe features a custom red wave pattern embroidered directly into the suede. It's bordered by a thin, red braided piping that adds a tactile, 3D element to the heel counter.
"One Degree Beyond" midsole: The cream EVA foam midsole is thickest at the heel for shock absorption during heavy heel strikes. The lateral side of the foam is stamped with "One Degree Beyond" in black lettering.
Metallic hardware: A small gold-tone metal charm hangs from the top eyelet. The heel tab also features a metallic gold finish that reflects light, matching the custom red-and-gold woven tongue label.
Dual-tone outsole: The rubber bottom uses two different rubber compounds. The black sections are harder rubber placed at high-wear zones (the heel edge and toe tip), while the red sections use a softer, grippier rubber for midfoot traction.

Care Instructions

Because of the mixed materials, do not machine wash. Soaking the shoe will ruin the suede texture and may cause the red dye from the piping to bleed into the cream mesh.
For the suede panels: Let any mud dry completely, then brush it off with a dry suede brush. Brush in one direction to restore the nap.
For the mesh and synthetic leather: Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid getting water on the suede panels.
The metallic heel tab and gold charm can be wiped clean with a dry microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints and restore shine.
